Frequently asked questions about dining at SkyPoint

Do I need a separate ticket to dine at SkyPoint Bistro + Bar?

No. The Bistro + Bar is accessible with a standard SkyPoint Observation Deck ticket. Food and beverages are at your own expense and are not included in the ticket price. Simply book your Observation Deck ticket, head up to Level 77, and order at the bar.

Do I need to make a reservation at the Bistro + Bar?

No reservation is needed for groups of up to 9 people — just walk in on the day. Groups of 10 or more are encouraged to contact SkyPoint in advance to arrange seating. Note that SkyPoint caps visitor numbers, so booking your Observation Deck ticket ahead of time is strongly recommended regardless.

Is the Breakfast Buffet included in the standard Observation Deck ticket?

No — the Breakfast Buffet is a separate, ticketed experience purchased on-site at the SkyPoint Lobby on the day of your visit. It is not available to book in advance. Pricing starts from AU$44 per adult and AU$30 per child (aged 3–13). Your Breakfast Buffet ticket does, however, include full Observation Deck access on the same day.

What time does the Breakfast Buffet run?

The Breakfast Buffet is served daily from 7:30am to 10:30am. Tickets are purchased at the SkyPoint Lobby on arrival — no advance bookings are taken, so arriving early is recommended to avoid missing out, especially on weekends and school holidays.

Can I visit the Bistro + Bar without purchasing an Observation Deck ticket?

No. Access to Level 77 — where the Bistro + Bar is located — requires a valid SkyPoint Observation Deck ticket. Your ticket is your entry to the entire Level 77 experience, including the deck, the bar, and the restaurant.

Is there a kids' menu available?

Yes. A dedicated kids' menu is available at the Bistro + Bar from 11:30am daily, making SkyPoint a family-friendly dining option throughout the day. Note that children aged 18 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times, and after 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights, entry is not permitted for guests under 18.

What is the dress code at SkyPoint?

SkyPoint is a smart casual venue. There is no strict dress code during the day, but as the evening atmosphere becomes more lounge-bar in style — particularly on Friday and Saturday nights — smart casual attire is recommended.

Does a surcharge apply on public holidays?

Yes. A 10% surcharge applies to all food and beverage purchases at the Bistro + Bar on public holidays. This is standard practice for licensed venues in Queensland.

Can I host a private event or function at SkyPoint?

Yes. SkyPoint has a dedicated private function space on Level 78 — directly above the main Observation Deck — available for exclusive events including corporate dinners, private dining experiences, and special celebrations. Contact SkyPoint directly to enquire about availability and packages.

What are SkyPoint's opening hours for dining?

The Bistro + Bar opens daily from 11:30am, with the kitchen closing 45 minutes before the venue's closing time. The Breakfast Buffet runs from 7:30am to 10:30am daily. SkyPoint is currently open until 9pm. Hours may vary on public holidays and during special events, so checking the SkyPoint website before your visit is recommended.

Is outdoor seating available?

The Bistro + Bar and Observation Deck are located entirely indoors on Level 77, behind floor-to-ceiling glass panels. While there is no traditional outdoor terrace, the expansive glass walls ensure unobstructed views of the Gold Coast coastline from every seat in the venue.

What dining options are available for the SkyPoint Climb?

All SkyPoint Climb ticket holders receive complimentary Observation Deck entry on the day of their climb. After conquering the summit, the Bistro + Bar is the perfect place to celebrate — order a cocktail, grab a bite, and relive the experience with your group at 230 metres above the Gold Coast.
