Paradise Country is closed from 25th December to 25th January and on 25th April for ANZAC Day.

The park also has numerous animal shows and presentations throughout the week, the schedules for which are continuously updated on the Village Roadshow app.

  • How long do I need to tour Paradise Country? 

If you’re interested in just viewing the animals and catching a few shows, 2-3 hours would be sufficient time to cover the park. However, if you wish to take a longer break away from the city, spare an entire day and consider spending the night at the Farmstay in a well-furnished tent.

The best time to visit Paradise Country in Australia is during the cooler months of the year, from April to October when the weather is more pleasant for outdoor activities. During this time, you can enjoy the wildlife and farm experiences without the extreme heat and humidity of the summer months. However, this time also tends to be more crowded with visitors.

If you prefer a quieter experience, consider visiting during the weekdays or during early opening hours, as it tends to be less crowded. Weekdays may also get crowded during the peak seasons so keep your children close. We suggest that you start your day as soon as Paradise Country opens so that you can view the exhibits at your own pace.

Paradise Country is located a mere 40 minutes from Brisbane and about 15 minutes from Surfers Paradise, along the Pacific Motorway.

Getting to Paradise Country Gold Coast

By public transport

While there aren’t any public transport options directly to Paradise Country, you can take a train to Helensvale or Coomera Station and then a taxi or rideshare service to the park.

By car

Paradise Country is conveniently located about 20 minutes away from Surfers Paradise, along the M1 highway. Travel along Roadshow Way, situated between Australian Outback Spectacular and Top Golf, before making a left turn onto Production Drive.

Parking facilities

Paradise Country’s car park is located just a 2-minute drive past Village Roadshow Studios. The parking is free, though limited, so it is advisable to arrive a little early to ensure a spot.

  • ATMs: An ATM is located at the Gift Shop near the park’s entrance, for last-minute cash withdrawals. 
  • First-aid: A first aid center is located within the park, with registered nurses on staff. Any non-essential medication that needs refrigeration such as children’s antibiotics, can be stored at the first aid center. 
  • Lost and found: The park’s Guest Services store items left behind at the park. 
  • Restaurants: Paradise Country has various on-site restaurants for you to choose from if you get hungry! 
  • Gift shop: Commemorate your visit with souvenirs, toys, and Aussie-themed gifts from Paradise Country’s gift shop. 
  • Baby care rooms: Baby care rooms are available at Paradise Country for parents with young children.

  • The whole park is wheelchair accessible and equipped with ramps for easier access. 
  • Wheelchairs can be rented for free at the park. However, a limited number of wheelchairs are available, so do inform the park in advance if you would like to hire one.  
  • Dedicated drop-off spots and reserved parking spots are located in the car park for those with disabilities. 
  • Wheelchair-accessible toilets are located throughout the park. 
  • Service dogs are welcome inside the park, however, are not permitted in certain areas as they may disturb the wildlife. 
  • Free entry for companions is available upon display of appropriate ID. 
  • Visitors with a State or Commonwealth-issued Disability Pension Card can avail of discounted entry to the park.

  • Pictures are allowed in the park, however, please refrain from using flash while capturing animal pictures, as they tend to aggravate the wildlife. 
  • No alcohol, glassware or commercially prepared food is allowed inside Paradise Country. Numerous eateries are located at the venue for refreshments. 
  • All children aged 13 years and under must be accompanied by an adult during your visit. 
  • Smoking, vaping and using e-cigarettes are permitted in the park’s designated smoking areas only.

  • Farmhouse Restaurant: Head on over for a delicious country breakfast surrounded by gorgeous views of the farm, or stop by for a hearty lunch of burgers, meaty mains and a wide selection of kid's favorites. You can also enjoy a country-style buffet dinner if you visit later in the day. 
  • The Burrow Cafe: Stop by for a barista-made coffee, try the many delicious snacks on display or experiment with some farm goodies at the Burrow. The Meerkat exhibit is visible from the Cafe, allowing you to sit back and enjoy the views as you sip your coffee!
  • Hungry Jacks: If you’re looking outside of Paradise Country, head to Hungry Jacks - a burger joint just 2 km away for some fast food options to keep you satiated for a drive back home! 
  • Thai Pacific Pine: Pining for some coconut curry and rice? Head over to this Thai food joint about 10 minutes from Paradise Country for a delicious serving of pad thai, chicken curries and more!

  • Exhibits may undergo maintenance: Some exhibits have a fixed maintenance schedule during which they are closed. Do make sure to check online before heading to the park to ensure your favorite exhibits are operational. 
  • Wear comfortable shoes: Opt for comfortable footwear, as Paradise Country offers a lot of walking, and exposure to the actual Australian countryside, which could be rough. 
  • Age-restricted exhibits: Some animal encounters, such as the Meerkat exhibit, have an age restriction, where children under 8 years of age are not permitted to enter for their own safety.
  • Spend the night: Your visit to the park isn’t truly complete without experiencing the Farmstay. Spend the night at the park in your own trailer or rent a tent and wake up to kangaroos and koalas outside your window.
